How do I wire maxp124d launching submarines to get the best sound? There are 8 terminals and felt a little lost when I tried to run cables. which are 1600 watts max and they are 4 ohms. More ... What would be the best amp for these subs? Should I use an amplifier or another launch of the brand?
First off ignore watts max. Or watts maximum power is the maximum one can manage fraction of a second, and since music is not played at that voltage, not a good representation of true power. The holding real power in this sub is 800 watts RMS. Two, a 4 Ohms slightly spiral that can be installed from 1 ohm or 4 ohm if you have two of them. As you said "subs" I suppose that has two. Third, having an amp that can push 1600 watts RMS @ 1 ohm which means that you need to strengthen the electrical system to better performance and save battery life / death of the alternator.
