Is the wiring harness that plugs into the back of a car from a universal connector?
I bought a CD receiver from JVC, and I am satisfied with the product, so I ordered a Pioneer CD receiver and I wanted to know if the wiring that plugs into the back of the CD receiver hook behind Pioneer receiver. I must take the stereo wiring plant electrical wiring and I would like to know if I'll have to cut all the connectors for the CD to install new or you can plug and go. I thank you not cut the plant is connected, I just added a Metra harness and then "splice" harness that plugs into the back radio by twisting of cables with cable connectors of the CAP.
Your Pioneer radio harness wiring harness will be different cables in the JVC. You can reuse the acquired Metra wiring harness to connect with the wiring plant. You will need to cut and remove the connections it has made to the JVC and reconnect the wiring harness pioneer. Just follow the color codes for the Pioneer and the Metra harness, connect them one by one so proper. They must be near the same on both radios. I know that the power cables to the pioneers are generally different from other Worldwide aftermarket, but the rest must use the standards. Metra sure to unplug the harness of the vehicle before doing any cutting and reconnecting. TGP
