What to buy and why

I live in Maine and face a lot of snow, so I would go with the WRX. I love Subaru AWD system is great, Performance is very good and very reliable car. The Mini Cooper S is a beautiful car that handles very well, but not very pleasant to drive all days. RSX Type S is a very good car at RT with a good amount of power, but insurance is very high! Honda Prelude is an excellent car around, and if you do not drive in a lot of snow, I would say this to his blend of high performance, style, speed, fuel efficiency and cost of ownership.
