After market stereo in 2000 Sunfire, some wiring issues?
I was told by the bank for the future that the beam Wiring for 2000-2004 Cavaliers and Sunfire is $ 150! say GM ran sensory information in the air bag and other things through the harness behind the car home? Is this real?
Yes, indeed this is true, but I think they are inflating the price a bit. One way it is actually true ... is to put the key in the ignition cylinder (NOT start the car or the button ... just press the button) to open the driver side door and see where the beeping is coming. If the sounds coming from somewhere on the edge ... you are well and have not need to take advantage and you should be able to use a harness GM standard interface to install the new roof. However ... If the sounds Speaker drivers side front ... you need the harness that spoke of maintaining the function Beep (for lights-are-rings, key rings into the cylinder, etc.) If one of my customers came in an accident after I did the installation, and the airbags never deployed when it should have, and somehow traced back to me ... I probably have somehow become responsible for damage or injury. Unless I'm wrong ... not really need to work beeps as a warehouse ... but never a head-pop in the car is okay to use the same responsibility.
