How do I install a CD in-dash mount in my 2000 Ford Taurus with Climate Control?
I have a 2000 Taurus SEL-system air conditioning not make a kit. I am not ready to switch to a manual system, so do not work kit. I found the radio in the trunk, but cables not appropriate. I also would like the CD is mounted or elsewhere on the board (as in a storage compartment) in my glove compartment or console. So I need help I need to know what cables to connect my CD player to my car and how to mount it. Mil gracias!
Well the best place to try would be placed in the center console (which can cause problems with depth, although the factory CD changer in a CD and can not be as high in low.) or the glove box (again with depth, but still easier than might console.) The part you need, including a set of cables for its speaker outputs of the radio and antenna is the brand meets Metra 70-5715. You will have enough wire running from back to front, and includes all cables for the speakers and extension antenna for connecting to your aftermarket radio. If you're really adventurous, you can try to fit in the storage area below where the cigarette lighter is simply to take much customization, I'm sure. You can do what most people end up doing and buy a CD changer that works via FM to visit things easier and more profitable, but where's the fun in that??
