Do I need a relay for the fog lights?
There are 4 fog lights, each 55 watts, which is 220 watts in total. All are connected the same switch and a fuse 25 amps connected via wiring (not know if it is relevant to my question but) was necessary in an emergency If yes, what are the specifications of a relay that is wanted and how I spend. Currently, the facility does not relay in Wired What would I need to connect a relay if necessary. Put the switch in the cockpit and requires a main power line, which is clean, and a connection lights. Any information would be useful.
YES! Of course, you need a replacement for your fog lamps 4x55 watts. This power is 220 W and aspires approximately 18 amps of battery current to 12 volts. This means that you need a big cable and swith to carry the current 18 amps, or just a single relay that can even have more than 25 amps. Without relief, you can not experience a problem now, but the change to long term because of their burns heat and electrolysis. Finding a suitable amp relays rated at least 25 amps and is sufficient to the burden of 4x55watts fog .. Or you can use 4 if each relay is rated below 25 amps, while a total of at least 25 amps. Must be parallel connection ..
