Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently released its Top Safety Pick winners for 2008. A total of seven Honda and Acura won the title, there including the new Honda Accord 2008.
The Top Safety Pick award recognizes vehicles that perform best in protecting passengers in front, side and rear crash test evaluations of the Institute. This test takes into account only vehicles equipped with an electronic controller stability (known as vehicle stability in Honda and Acura) and airbags for head protection.
The prize was awarded 2008, Accord, CR-V, Element, Odyssey and Pilot, under the division of Honda. For the Acura division, on the other hand, the prize was awarded to 2008 MDX and RDX, which come with premium Acura Air Filter and other original parts. These vehicles Honda and Acura have the most Top Safety Pick awards from industry, accounting for vehicles who have both electronic stability control and protection airbags seeded.
